What happens when traditional celebrities sit down with the UK’s biggest YouTubers to discuss their favourite shows? After Party Studios and SKY produced a series to find out, whilst showcasing their almost endless premium content offering. The series was so well received, SKY renewed it for a second season.
CHALLENGE
Create an original YouTube series to showcase SKY Q’s comprehensive content offering. The show needed to resonate with an array of viewers whilst also reflecting the premium offering of SKY’s TV package. Crucially, the show needed to feel like it truly belonged on YouTube, with the correct blend of talent, titles, thumbnails and entertainment.
APPROACH
By blending high-end production with a YouTube inspired editorial style, we were able to deliver a series that blurred the lines between traditional and online entertainment. Fast and fun segments and a beautifully designed moving set ensured the content would keep viewers engaged over the course of 10+ minutes of branded content. Crucially, each episode was powered by an unexpected talent pairing: Eddie Hearn & Amelia Dimoldenburg / Peter Andre & Bambino Becky / Mo Gilligan & Stephen Tries / Lorraine Kelly & Chi with a C / Declan Rice & Chunkz / Ms Banks & Nella Rose / Molly-Mae & Talia Mar / to name a few.
RESULTS
By leveraging our expertise in online entertainment and premium production, SKY were able to amass 3.9 million views across 2 seasons, with multiple videos hitting the YouTube trending page. From the first episode, we helped SKY produce some of the biggest organic numbers their channel has ever seen.
